If the iPad Mini 4 is indeed the last of the iPad Minis, here is hoping that the latest offering will leave the market with a bang.

The iPad Mini 4 is among the new devices that have been revealed at Apple's recent media event, which also starred the iPad Pro as well as the expected smartphone revelations, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

So with the iPad Mini 4 out, what has the new mini tablet have to offer? Well for one, it certainly comes oozing with power. The latest offering is thinner and comes with features fairly similar to those of the iPad Air 2.

Seeing that the iPad Mini 3 failed badly, the iPad Mini 4 hopes to erase the stigma of that forgettable version.

The iPad Mini 4 will offer three storage models — 16, 64, and 128 GB. It will draw its needed power from an A8 processor, which is a bumps from the previous A7 used in previous models.

It weighs just 0.65 pounds, a whole lot lighter than its predecessor, and comes with an 8-megapixel main camera. And of course, the iPad Mini 4 will already come with Apple's latest iOS 9, which means potential buyers can get a chance to experience the multitasking features that was previously exclusive only to the iPad Air 2.

The iPad Mini 4 will be available in silver, gold, and space grey colors. Pricing for the iPad Mini 4 starts at $399 (16GB WiFi model). The new offering is likely to entice iPad Mini 2 users to upgrade to it, as most of these users chose to stick to their old mini tablets in light of a less than impressive iPad Mini 3.

Incidentally, the prices for the iPad Mini 2 have also been reduced to just $269.

Given the specs of the iPad Mini 4, would this new mini tablet fare better than its predecessor? How does it size up with the fact most of the attention seems to be on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro?
