iOS 9.1 jailbreak news: Jailbreak 8.4.1 more likely to be released

Pangu plans to release iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak pangu8.com

With Apple having come out with its newest platform iOS 9, fans who opt for more control over their Apple devices via jailbreak iOS are wondering when the jailbreak for the new platform will be released.

However, it seems that it's more likely that a jailbreak for the previous platform, the iOS 8.4.1, would be seen.

According to a post on Team PanGu's website, one of the most active jailbreak development teams, although a semi-jailbreak for the iOS 9 has already been made, the version itself was based on a previous beta version of the platform and may not work with the final consumer version of the iOS, particularly iOS 9.1. The partial jailbreak, while already released to the public, is still untested and may cause damages to the user's Apple device.

Meanwhile, no other developer has yet come out with an announcement about a consumer release for a jailbreak iOS 9.1. The team noted, "They have released the iOS 9 beta jailbreak for public. The Most popular jailbreak developer iH8sn0w released the demonstration video for iOS 9 beta jailbreak. We can expect that jailbreak method works for iOS 9.1 beta 1 also. However, any [sic] developer has not officially announced anything about iOS 9.1 beta jailbreak."

According to a report by Yibada, it is more likely that some developers are focusing on a jailbreak iOS based on the more stable 8.4.1 version. However, even if Apple has already shifted its focus to the new iOS 9, some developers are still finding time to come out with a new 8.4.1 jailbreak, particularly since the Cupertino-based company has already installed more stringent security features for its official iOS versions, guarding them against potential hacks and jailbreaks.
