Last Oct. 25, gaming platform Steam has made the open beta for "Injustice 2" available.

The DC superhero fighting game has invited all Steam players to try the game. NetherRealm Studios has yet to announce the full release for the PC version. The company is hoping that the time between beta testing and the full launch will be enough to introduce the game to the Steam populace.

NetherRealm is aware that most Steam players are used to – for either first-person shooters (FPS) or action role-playing games (ARPG). So, the gaming publisher advised testers to give their site a visit for a more detailed description of the game, its features, and its gameplay.

"Injustice 2" PC Version will be developed by QLOC studios, who is also responsible for the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X." The game was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last May and has since been enjoyed by players from the first title.

Just like in consoles, the PC version will be including the initial roster of DC heroes and villains that include Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Green Arrow, Firestorm, and Black Canary. Morally-gray heroes of the Injustice universe are housed by Superman, Super Girl, Wonder Woman, Black Adam, Aquaman, and Robin (Damian Wayne). Villains are headed by Brainiac with his followers Grodd, Deadshot, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy.

The story for the beta test version will be just like the story in the consoles. The first part will be a sort of flash back that shows what happened to Superman after he killed the Joker. In this part of the story, players will also see how Damian Wayne favored the side of the Regime rather than choosing to back up his father's principles.

Creative director Ed Boon revealed last Oct. 12 that the NetherRealm Studios is also planning to bring "Injustice 2" to the Nintendo Switch.
