It is highly speculated that an alleged Huawei Mate 9 is in the works and will be released soon. The latest rumors from its home country suggest that it could be released on Nov. 8.
China-based Huawei is said to be releasing a flagship smartphone very soon and will have several variants available. The Mate 9's will have a 4 GB RAM/64 GB ROM and will carry a price tag of RMB 3,199 (around US$475) for its Carrier Edition and RMB 3,399 (around US$505) for its unlocked version, GSM Arena reported.
The Huawei Mate 9 is also believed to have a 4 GB RAM/128 GB ROM, which will be available for RMB 3,899 (around US$580) and RMB 4,699 (around US$700) for its top-tier model that includes 6GB RAM/256 GB ROM.
Phone Arena added that the rumored phone will carry an octa-core Kirin 960 processor with a clock speed of 2.6 GHz. Its chip is manufactured by HiSilicon, a subsidiary of Huawei. It will also feature a dual 20-MP rear-facing camera, said to be certified by Leica.
Additionally, other reports also mentioned that the rumored phone will have a 5.9-inch IPS-NEO screen that will produce a 1080 x 1920 pixel display resolution and will offer around 373 ppi pixel density. This will then be protected by a Gorilla Glass 4. The front-facing camera is estimated to be around 8 MP.
Specific details about its battery capacity remain unknown, but it is rumored to be capable of fast charging via its USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The fingerprint sensor is also anticipated to come along, as well as a wide variety of colors to choose from. It is rumored to carry nine colors amber gold, amber gray, ceramic white, champagne gold, mocha gold, pink gold, shiny black, silver, and sky gray.
The operating system is expected to be the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the box, topped with Huawei's own Emotion UI version 5.
Fans will have to wait until Nov. 8 to see it in the flesh if the rumors are true.
