As 2015 nears its end, the new mobile devices to expect in 2016 have started to ramp up.

After hearing about the Apple, Samsung, and LG devices, HTC is expected to follow suit with the highly anticipated HTC One M10.

There is high anticipation for the device in 2016 and much of that is, of course focused, on the features it carries. With the HTC One M9 drawing criticism for its similarity to its predecessors, the HTC One M10 does come with a lot of striking new features which could douse water on all that.

Among the features rumored for the HTC One M10, here are some of the possible highlights via Phone Arena:

  •   Five-inch QHD (1440x2560 resolution) display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (clocked at 2.2 GHz)
  • Adreno 530 GPU
  • Main camera with 13 or 20 megapixels
  • 5-megapixels front-facing camera

Now aside from those, some specs seen in HTC One A9 could likely be present as well.

That includes the device's fingerprint scanning technology most likely situated at the back of the HTC One M10 and the impressive high quality BoomSound stereo speakers up front per Tech Radar.

The HTC One M10 is likely to come out in the market with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with Sense out of the box. It remains to be seen though if the device would be made ready for an update to Android 6.1.

Right now, nothing has been set on stone but if the previous releases are to be followed, it could debut as early as March 2016. There is however a bit of a complication on the horizon.

Seeing that Samsung has exclusive rights over the Qualcomm chip (a result of the partnership between Samsung and Qualcomm), such could hinder a delay. With Samsung holding rights until April 2016, there is a possibility that the HTC One M10 may have to wait until that month to make its debut.
