Homemade Worship

Rend Collective Experiment have picked up where they left off with their fantastic new album, Homemade Worship by Handmade People.

The title gives an indication of what we can expect: a motley selection of songs that reflect the same spontaneous, worshipful abandon we heard in Organic Family Hymnal when it shook up the worship scene back in 2009.

There are fewer gentle melodies this time round, but the fact that Homemade Worship is more rough around the edges is the source of its appeal.

This is a band that does not feel hemmed in by music traditions – especially Christian music traditions – but rather free to play around with familiar sounds and craft something new from them.

The result is an intelligent and fun album that is textured, unpolished, human, and yet utterly worshipful.

Be challenged in your praise once again with this album.
