'Hearthstone' new adventure 2016: New adventure likely to be announced in Twich event next week

After three months of "Hearthstone: Whispers of the Old Gods," it seems that Blizzard is now ready to release a new add-on for this popular card game, possibly next week.

According to Polygon, they got an email from Blizzard, an invitation that told them to watch a live-streamed event on the "Hearthstone" official channel on Twitch by July 28 at 11:00 p.m. PST. The invitation reads that the stream will be a once-in-a-lifetime event and it will be rife with magic and celebration. Furthermore, it says that the event will have something special in store for them.

The invitation even stated something about an "unforgettable adventure," which heavily implies that the stream will focus on announcing the latest single-player adventure set for "Hearthstone." If it turns out to be true, it will be the game's fourth adventure installment, and like its predecessors, it is expected to get a smaller number of new cards compared to full expansions. Regardless, it's also expected to come with adrenaline-pumping single-player boss encounters.

After all, in the same article it states that Blizzard said that the way they plan to ensure that each year will bring a big expansion at the start and end of each year and a new adventure set in the middle. As such, this announcement fits into the aforementioned cycle, if it is about a new adventure set.

According to Venture Beat, the next adventure for "Heartstone" will be Karazhan. They also pointed out that the invitation being sent for the Twitch event has several decorative feathers, which further makes the speculation more believable. They even said that, with Medivh, a legendary sorcerer who can turn into a raven at will, might be the boss for this new adventure set, since he is the master of the magical tower.

In any case, all rumors will be brought to light once the stream starts on July 28.
