When "Hawaii Five 0" returns for the fourth episode of season 7 on Oct. 14, the team is expected to pick up the case of the Chess-Piece serial killer who has not been caught yet.

However, the team does have a lead on the culprit after they pieced together her name – Madison Grey (Elisabeth Röhm). While this should serve as a piece of good news for the team, it would seem that this development will only lead to a more pressing concern as the killer grows bolder and she gets closer to Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and behavioral specialist Alicia Brown (Claire Forlani).

In the previous episode, the culprit left a chess piece in Steve's house while she placed one of the victims right next to Alicia on her bed with a chess piece wedged in the victim's mouth.

In the next episode entitled "Hū a'e ke ahi lanakila a Kamaile" —which translates to "The Fire of Kamile Rises in Triumph" — it is expected that the serial killer will target both Steve and Alicia and that the chess pieces were indeed warnings that they were the next targets.

According to the synopsis, both characters will be kidnapped and they will both be placed in grave danger. The spoiler further said that they would need to fight for their lives both in land and in water to escape the clutches of the serial killer.

But could this latest development be a hint that a deeper relationship could develop between Steve and Alicia?

For one, Executive Producer Peter Lenkov himself teased that there will be a wedding featured this season. Fans were quick to assume that the return of the Catherine (Michelle Borth) could mean that a reconciliation with Steve is in the cards and that they would be the pair tying the knot.

Lenkov debunked the rumors and said that Catherine's return will have more to do with work and not romance.

Since Alicia and Steve have worked together on a case this season and are now set to work together once again to flee from captivity, a closer relationship could come out of it.
