Hawaii Five-0 marked its 150<sup>th episode milestone with high ratings, mostly fueled by fans' curiosity about the return of Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) just as her ex, Steve McGarrett (Alex O' Loughlin) was in the middle of with a date with Lynn (Sarah Carter).
A Deadline report indicated that the episode got a boost of 1.2 in in adults aged 19-49, which is +0.2 compared to the previous episode.
The recap of the episode cited that Catherine's untimely arrival in the middle of Steve and Lynn's date to inform him that his mom Doris (Christine Lahti) was captured at a CIA Black site in Morocco immediately spurs Steve into action.
In a casual conversation, Lynn informed Catherine that Steve was just about to propose to her before she left him the last time, which sparked a heart to heart talk in which Steve asked her what her answer would have been if she heard his proposal. However, O'Loughlin clarified Steve's actions before McRollins shippers got any ideas about a possible reunion.
"I think it's an important piece of information. I mean, [wanting to know] out of curiosity is one reason, but also, I think he wants to hear her say, 'It wasn't you, you weren't the problem. I was the problem," he explained.
"As far as I'm concerned, he was just curious because for him to get serious with anyone else — really serious, if that's what happens — he needs closure on [Catherine], and [hearing her answer] gives him that closure. He's like, 'OK. How ironic. I guess this just wasn't in the cards,' you know," added O'Loughlin .
Meanwhile, in the next episode of the show — entitled "Hana Komo Pae" (Rite of Passage) — Danny (Scott Caan) chaperones Grace's (Teilor Grubbs) winter formal but terrorists seize the venue and hold everyone hostage in order to kidnap a diplomat's son. Also, Danny and Grover (Chi McBride) are shocked to learn that Will (Chosen Jacob's) is Grace's secret boyfriend.
