'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 spoilers: Adam and Kono endangered in Halloween episode; McGarrett to call it quits after season 8?

It wasn't so long ago that Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Alicia (Claire Forlani) narrowly escaped the clutches of the Chess Piece killer, and now it seems that newly reunited couple Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) and Kono (Grace Park) will be taken hostage in time for the show's Halloween episode.

Based on the trailer for episode 6 of "Hawaii Five-o's" season 7 — entitled "Ka hale ho'okauweli," which translates to House of Horrors — cult members wearing blank masks will abduct both Adam and Kono.

According to a report by News Everyday, the team will be investigating the death of a spirit medium which has reportedly been caused by a poltergeist. A poltergeist is a type of ghost that can move objects around and cause physical harm to humans.

Early rumors hint that the kidnapping may not be random as it could be related to something Adam has done in the past. It was further speculated that his time in jail may have sparked the kidnapping, as jail is full of people with shady records and mysterious pasts.

Meanwhile, there seems to be some weight to rumors that actor O'Loughlin could be retiring from the show soon because of health issues.

"I signed on for another two (seasons), which is this year and next year, series seven and eight, and I don't know if I can sustain any more than that just physically," he told News.com.au.

The actor was reportedly suffering from back pains, and the condition was further being agitated by the physical demands of his role as McGarrett.

"Maybe 15 years ago I'd say 'yeah I want to jump off that building' but I was 40 a couple of weeks ago so I kind of know my place. There are certain things you don't try to start doing at 40," he added.

"Hawaii Five-0's" Halloween episode airs on Oct. 28 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS.
