343 Industries recently delayed the scheduled patch meant to fix the current issues that bother players using the multiplayer mode of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The recent development was discussed in the latest blog update for "Halo," saying that the game developer needs more time to evaluate the patch before it will be released to the public.

According to the blog post, "As this update contains the biggest changes to the Matchmaking system yet, we've identified that additional time and testing is required, and we are currently evaluating both timing and need for a CU beta with the Xbox One Preview program, as well as the final public release date in February. We'll continue to provide the latest updates here on Waypoint."

The studio is currently improving the patch contents for "MCC" since it is one of the biggest update to be released. It includes fixes on different vital areas of the game, including:

  • Matchmaking search time
  • Match search success
  • Lobby / Party Functionality

"Fundamental changes to these systems will improve the overall experience while also allowing us to address additional issues such as title-specific hit registration, matchmaking ranking, and beyond," the post reads.

The game developer is also in the process of fine tuning several additions to the game, such as the featured playlist, added options for the current playlist, as well as a new object-only playlist. Also, according to Polygon, the supposed beta testing for the content update has been pulled back.

"Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is a digitally remastered installment of all the four games included in the "Halo" series. The November launch of the anthology collection faced a lot of issues, which is why the improved patch is necessary to fix all the bugs of the game.
