Support for the most recent title under the "Halo" franchise is still on-going. Recently, 343 Industries, the name behind "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," has released a new update for the game.
With the gameplay update, the developer has now introduced a new 2v2 mode, the Team Doubles, on the game's playlist. This will have gamers play a tag team battle across all of the series' titles, including the original "Halo," "Halo 2: Anniversary," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4."
Aside from introducing a new gameplay mode for tag team battles, 343 Industries is also planning to release a host of new updates with the upcoming April patch for the "Halo: Master Chief Collection." The studio even had players gain a sneak peek on the upcoming changes.
According to the company, the new game patch will focus on ranking and title-specific improvements. In the new ranking system, there will be a host of updates that will penalize players who always quit matches and those who give away enemy team members' positions.
Also, the developer is looking into bringing back the "SWAT" mode and is still developing the "Team Objective" mode. Additionally, the voting options for playlists will be adjusted so that there will an improvement on the mixes for the BR-start game types.
343 Industries hopes that the continuous updates and game fixes would satisfy hardcore fans who complained loudly when the game was released last year. The gamers' grievances were due to a host of bugs, including glitches on the title's online playing modes and servers that keep on crashing.
The new update is in its final phase, and is now undergoing "test passes." 343 Industries confirms the release is later this month, and the update will add new content for the game to keep fans on their toes while waiting for the much-awaited next instalment in the franchise, "Halo 5: Guardians."
