Publisher Microsoft showcased the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" title during this year's recently-concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo. Since then, both the publisher and game developer 343 Industries have provided fans with teasers on both new and updated features of the upcoming futuristic shooter.

The upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" is full of restructured features, that 343 Industries deems that it will be a hit to both single-player, campaign and story mode fans as well as multiplayer, online gamers. In an interview with European game magazine Game Reactor, franchise development director Frank O'Connor said that the game will appeal to all types of players.

"We've players that only play campaign, those that only play multiplayer. We've players that only play a single mode in multiplayer. And getting those guys to do other things is really good for our community and for the gameplay experience," he stated. "The more players we have doing more things, the better the experience is for everyone. So we wanted to build a mode that actually had something for everyone."

Of note to the updated modes in the upcoming "Halo 5" title is its Warzone gameplay. With an expanded, 12-versus-12 multiplayer team-based action, Warzone promises an enriched, massive multiplayer experience. Although not as expansive as other multiplayer shooters like the 32-player "Battlefield" modes, Warzone has an updated gameplay that gives players a unique "Halo 5" experience.

For example, aside from the team-versus-team gameplay, there will also be boss fights wherein Spartans must take down AI bosses. The levels of the bosses are high enough that one player will not be able to do it, and must therefore team up with others and strategize, keeping in mind not only how tough the boss is, but also the strength of the other team also trying to win the fight.

In addition to boss fights in the multiplayer mode, Warzone also introduces core takedowns in which a team can also win the round by taking down the enemy's core base, aside from shooting off every enemy team members.
