One of the most sought-after titles among hardcore gaming fans is "Half-Life 3." The continuation to the "Half-Life" franchise haw been debated on persistently in gaming forums that it has already achieved a near-legendary status.

Years after the last "Half-Life" title was released, speculations still go on if Gabe Newell and Valve will be working on a third title. While Newell has already said in previous interviews that it is up to the developers to come out with "Half-Life 3," most observers have said that this statement is much harder to decipher than a "no comment" one.

Meanwhile, both industry followers and hardcore fans are expecting some new details about a possible "Half-Life 3." According to Day Herald, "Half-Life 3" is experiencing what other titles from big-name developers have also experienced. Apparently, the game has been shunted aside in favor of more profitable enterprises. In developer Valve's case, the website pointed out that the company may be already hard at work on "Left 4 Dead 3."

The same experience has been pointed out by some fans about another expected title, Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls VI." According to speculations, the sequel to "Skyrim" was not that much of a priority over "Fallout 4."

Meanwhile, other fans continue to debate on where there will be a "Half-Life 3." Keen industry followers like GamesRadar have reported that some of the developers who are "Half-Life" fans themselves have taken to hiding Easter eggs in their titles to flame the "Half-Life 3" rumors. Once such recent title is the game adaptation for "Mad Max," where some fans pointed out that Avalanche Studios hid subtle messages about the demise of the "Half-Life" franchise.

However, not all have lost hope that "Half-Life 3" is already dead. A developer has apparently come out with "Gabe Newell Simulator," a game where players control Newell, the developer of "Half-Life," and help him make his decision on whether to release "Half-Life 3" or not.
