It has been years since an updated "Guitar Hero" or any other music-and-game mix title has been published, so fans cannot wait for October to get a taste of the upcoming "Guitar Hero Live" title.
The good news is that this coming weekend, fans can flock to Best Buy stores and get a first peek of how the new title will look and feel like.
According to a post on the Best Buy site, gamers can check out "Guitar Hero Live" this coming Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, at stores in selected areas for an exclusive look at the upcoming title from Activision. Not only can players check out the updated design and gameplay, they can also experience the game as the demoed release will also be playable.
Aside from the preview play on "Guitar Hero Live," those who are also into movies can also get an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming game-and-movie combo film, "Pixels," which will be shown on the Sony Experience Shop stalls.
"Guitar Hero Live" is the most recent collaboration between Activision and developer Freestyle Games. Boasting an updated gameplay and an impressive music playlist, the upcoming music playing sim will get tracks mixed from both old and new artists, and also a mixture of music genres. Recent news about the game state that already confirmed artists include Paramore, OneRepublic, Disturbed; TV on the Radio, and Asking Alexandria.
However, there is a bit of bad news for "Guitar Hero" enthusiasts – the upcoming title will not be compatible with instruments introduced for previous installments.
"Guitar Hero Live" will come out on Oct. 20 on both old- and current-gen consoles.
