'GTA Online Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part 1' release date set for June 10

Rockstar Games has officially announced that the newest update for its "Grand Theft Auto Online" title will arrive on June 10.

According to the developer and publisher of the highly successful and smash hit "Grand Theft Auto" series, the first part of the "Ill-Gotten Gains" expansion will arrive in the middle of this week across all five platforms, which is a first for any "GTA" update. This means that players using PC, PS4, Xbox One; PS3, and Xbox 360 will be able to apply the update at the same time.

Contrary to speculations, the next update for the "Grand Theft Auto Online" is not the anticipated casino heists and gambling mini-games updates. However, Rockstar Games made sure that hardcore fans of the newest title would still get new content, expanded gameplay, and performance fixes to keep the game more interesting.

The updated content includes new cars, like the supercharged Pagani Huayra-inspired Pegassi Osiris, the Benefactor Sterling GT in hot-rod red and a pair of gull-wing doors, and the Rolls-Royce Wraith-like Enus Windsor with ballin' wraps. There are also new retro-style cars that harkens back the days of muscle cars like the Albany Virgo, which is designed like the classic Cadillac Eldorado.

In addition, the first update also introduces a new aircraft for the series. In this new version of "Ill-Gotten Gains," players will have access to a gold-painted Buckingham Swift Deluxe luxury helicopter.

Aside from the new rides, the DLC also brings a ton of new clothing items for both men and women characters, plus a new weapon. This new armament, based on the screenshots, is a yellow sub-machine gun known as the Combat Personal Defense Weapon. Not much is known about the new weapon, but the maker of the yellow gun is COIL, which is known in the "GTA" world as an electric auto maker. This suggests that the Combat PDW is somewhat a form of an electric gun, or an SMG with advanced laser sights.
