'GTA Online' news: Holds double rep weekend

 Rockstar Games

Those who are currently playing "Grand Theft Auto Online" are up for good news this weekend, as there will be another double rep event scheduled for the "Prison Break Heist" missions.

According to the event launch post on developer Rockstar Games' Newswire, those who would be completing the mission right after the 2-player Fleeca Bank set-up Heist will be offered double the rewards. The mission involves players interacting with Agent 14 and trying to break prisoner Maxim Rashkovsky out of the Bolingbroke Prison. Players who successfully complete the mission this weekend will get twice as much rep credits and earn in-game dollar payout as rewards.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is also offering reputation bonuses for players who don't meet the requirements for the Prison Break Heist. Different activities scattered in selected "Grand Theft Auto Online" locations will give out almost double the reputation in order for players to accumulate enough rank to level up. Some of the locations and activities that would offer double the rep rewards include completing daily objectives; collecting bounties; crate drop collection, enemy kills, and distracting cops in missions; robbing armored trucks; going into flight school; losing wanted levels; and plane takedowns.

In addition to offering double reputation rewards to both Prison Break Heist players and low-level gamers, some in-game properties such as apartments in high-end areas will also be up for grabs with as much as a fourth off the original prices. Some high-end properties for discounted sale include apartments in the Weazel Plaza, Tinsel Towers, Del Perro Heights, Richards Majestic, and the Eclipse Towers.

The double rep weekend event for "GTA Online" is expected to run until all-day Sunday. Meanwhile, one note on the announcement also foretells Rockstar Games coming out with another upcoming event with special price reductions on selected vehicles and gears, to run for a limited time.
