'GTA 6' release date news: Las Venturas and San Fierro may feature in next iteration

With the next "Grand Theft Auto" game still unconfirmed, a lot of people are starting to get anxious about whether or not they'll ever see a new "GTA" game. However, that doesn't mean that rumors will stop circulating around it.

According to Neuro Gadget, there are various rumors online that the next game will include the entirety of the United States as the map world. However, this seems to be preposterous so a lot of fans disagree. However, in the same article it is stated that the latest update made by Rockstar Games points to possible locations for the game's setting: Las Venturas and San Fierro.

Back in "GTA V," players will surely remember that these two locations are the only ones missing from the San Andreas area for this game. Another thing to be remembered is that Rockstar said during the launch of "GTA V" that the resources in consoles were sadly limited, and thus they had to abandon their plans of putting these two locations and just stick with Los Santos and Blaine County instead.

Of course, while this could be a bit more definitive than other rumors circulating online, a lot of fans would also want to have Vice City to come back as the setting for "GTA VI." After all, this city is still memorable for this franchise's veteran players, and they think that revisiting this Miami-modeled city is long overdue.

Regardless, if ever "Grand Theft Auto VI" is to be released, it's mostly going to be in 2018, due to the pattern Rockstar Games seems to follow -- releasing the next "GTA" five years after the latest game's release. Also, according to Mobile & Apps, it's also suggested that the next game will be released for the next-generation consoles of both Microsoft and Sony: the next iteration of the Xbox and PlayStation.
