'GTA 6' release date delayed due to exclusivity deals? the game's map rumored to be the biggest one yet

It is still uncertain when the next "Grand Theft Auto" game will be released. Rockstar Games/ Grand Theft Auto V

Fans are worried since Rockstar Games didn't mentioned anything about "GTA 6" as well as "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the recently concluded Sony PlayStation Meeting. After all, delaying this kind of announcement could possibly mean that Take-Two Interactive — Rockstar Game's parent company — is currently in the process of making a deal with major console platform companies.

According to the Parent Herald, the deal involves exclusivity for whichever company can make the best offer. This is due to the fact that the "Grand Theft Auto" series has been one of the biggest franchises made by Rockstar and as such, it is a major money-maker that would certainly entice its already large fanbase. With this, console giants such as Microsoft and Sony might want to have an exclusive release for the game to monopolize it.

Regardless, another reason behind this game's lack of current presence in major gaming events such as E3 2016, Gamescom, and the like is due to the scope of changes that caused Rockstar to delay the game's announcement at a much later time. One of the features expected to take up a lot of time in development is the setting of the game, as it is rumored to have the biggest map yet compared to other "Grand Theft Auto" games.

It is also speculated that the game will have an overseas setting, as well as a rumored female protagonist that would certainly revolutionize the way the game is played.

But with the rising development costs for the game, Rockstar might take an exclusivity deal with either Sony PlayStation or Microsoft Xbox One.

Lastly, some other rumors point out that the game could have been cancelled. According to iTech Post, the reason behind this alleged cancellation is the fact that Rockstar wants to focus more on "Grand Theft Auto V" first.

However, fans are encouraged to take this rumor with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
