Game developer Rockstar Games released the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto" this year, and the "GTA V" online mode has already received numerous updates that greatly expanded the mode's content. In the latest round of reports, it seems that "GTA Online" for PC has suffered some performance issues after players downloaded the 1.28 update. This new update, which is part of the "Ill-Gotten Gains" expansion, is the second part to come out in recent weeks. "Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2," as with previous updates, introduced new in-game items such as clothes and accessories, vehicles, and weapons.
However, players have complained on online threads and forums about the new update. Players took to Reddit first with their complaints, and the posts about the glitches brought in many upvotes from other gamers experiencing similar difficulties. Meanwhile, other players directed their grievances straight to the developer, posting about the problem on Rockstar Games' support page. The developer has answered that they are already looking into the issue.
An answer to a query stated, "We have received reports of lower framerate in GTAV and GTA Online after Title Update 1.28 on PC, and we are looking into these reports now."
Rockstar Games then added that players can opt to receive automatic email notifications once there is available information about the issue.
Many observers have said that the problems lie with the update itself. According to some players who use game mods for "GTA V," the new anti-modding features integrated in the 1.28 update are the cause of the glitches. In a Facebook post, the creators of "LCPD First Response," one of the more popular mod downloads, said that the update caused the frame rates to drop to the bare minimum.
