The Golden State Warriors are on a roll and are currently at 37–3, the best record in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Western Conference this 2015–16 season, so it is unlikely that they will engage in any trade deal.
In a report by CSN Bay Area's Monte Poole, he stated that Warriors general manager Bob Myers will not be talking about any possible trade deals.
But Poole added that Myers understands that when the Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and triple-double machine Draymond Green are not on the floor, scoring is a task for the Warriors.
Everyone in Golden State is performing very well, but one player is struggling this season and is turning out to be an expendable in big man Marreese Speights.
According to Poole, Speights might be the latest member of the defending champions who leaves soon if he cannot find his form this season.
In the Warriors' championship campaign in the 2014–15 season, Speights was a force from the bench averaging 10.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in only 15.9 minutes played per game.
But this season, the 28-year-old's numbers went downhill having only 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 10.8 minutes of action per contest.
Along with the decline in his production, Speights also has an expiring contract which, according to Bleacher Report, will be easy to move.
But the report mentioned that because of Speights' struggles to begin the season, it is going to be hard for the Warriors to find a "valuable asset" in exchange for him.
It seems like the Dubs will have to settle with Speights in the roster this season and wait until he becomes a free agent in 2016 before they can part ways with him.
If that will be the case, the former first-round pick will have the rest of the season to prove his worth to the organization.
