Golden State Warriors news 2015: Can Ben Gordon fit in with the Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors seem to have a pretty intact lineup heading into the 2015-16 National Basketball Association (NBA) season, but it seems that they could use one more scorer if he makes the grade.

The player in mention is no stranger, a big time scorer off the bench who has won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in his rookie season — Ben Gordon.

Gordon, of course, took the NBA by storm with the Chicago Bulls, proving his fantastic offense that made him one of the reliable bench players a team could have. After the Bulls, Gordon took his act to the Detroit Pistons, the Charlotte Bobcats, and, just last year, the Orlando Magic.

Somewhere along the way, the magic of Gordon either vanished or got overlooked. But hopefully, he can impress the Golden State Warriors and snag a spot on the roster for the coming season.

Aside from showing off his offensive repertoire, it seems Gordon is following a certain vegetarian diet to keep him sharp and fit. Word has it that Gordon is down to 185 pounds, something uncanny for an NBA player.

Apparently Gordon has taken care of his body well. Now at 32, he is aware that with a proper body weight, he can still do the things he could when he was a whole lot younger.

"As you get older you try to see different things that work for you. I'm not doing it right now, but I try to do it functionally depending on how my body feels" says Gordon.

It remains to be seen if he can make the grade, seeing that the Warriors seemed filled in the guard position. But then again, if he proves he still has the explosiveness that catapulted him to fame, head coach Steve Kerr and the gang may just want to reconsider a slot for Gordon.
