In the previous "Girl Meets World" season 2 episode titled "Girl Meets Farkle," the show stressed that a diagnosis or an illness doesn't define a person and it never will. Farkle was revealed to have Asperger's syndrome and to help him cope, his loved ones and his friends stayed by his side and gave him support all throughout.

In episode 16, the story pans back to Riley, who has a new dilemma that has to do with her place in the world and her expectations of herself. The upcoming episode titled "Girl Meets Cory and Topanga" sees the protagonist thinking about the impact she has on the world.

Her parents, Cory and Topanga, have established themselves as an inspiration to many. It looks as if for them, everything is in place and nothing could go wrong. Seeing that, Riley starts to ask herself whether or not she can manage to do the same. This thought will lead her to frustration and realizations. It looks like in this episode, Riley will strive to be like her mom and dad.

Fans can expect this episode to be full of lessons and self-discovery. Riley is still young and at her age, it isn't a must to have everything figured out yet. This is the aspect that will make this episode relatable to the young fans of the Disney show.

As per Carter Matt, there will be plenty of "Boy Meets World" vibes in the upcoming episode, enough to pluck the heartstrings of fans of the original series. They will be in the form of select actual scenes from the series that will be merged into the happenings in "Girl Meets World." The site says that Riley and Maya will somewhat daydream themselves into the "Boy Meets World" domain.

"Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 16 "Girl Meets Cory and Topanga" airs Sept. 18.
