While fans of HBO hit series "Game of Thrones" await the penultimate season of the epic fantasy show, fan theories are circulating online as to what will happen in the Seven Kingdoms as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up.

But more than the power to rule, the leaders of Westeros also need to deal with the immediate threat of the attack of the White Walkers as a long winter looms on the horizon.

With George R.R. Martin still working on the last two books in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series — which was originally intended as the guide for the final seasons of the show — "Game of Thrones" fans as well as the showrunners are left to their own devices in deciding the fate of the characters.

In an interview with Deadline, series creator David Benioff shared how they will be proceeding with the two final seasons without Martin's written work to rely on.

"We've been talking about the ending, from the beginning. It's a strange phenomenon, we're in this territory where you are walking on your own and can't rely on the written material anymore. As we get close to the ending, we've been talking about that for so long, things come into better focus. Once we get to the final end game, we've got very specific ideas that have grown organically over the past six plus years about where everything will end up," he explained.

Season 7 is expected to answer some of the questions that have been nagging at fans' minds since the epic ending of season 6, such as whether Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) succeeded in impregnating Sansa (Sophie Turner), which was implied when the villain said" "I'm part of you now" before his hounds feasted on his flesh.

According to reports, Sansa will not be pregnant in season 7 and will have some good news come to her as it is expected that she will reunite with Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Arya (Maisie Williams), the remaining Stark children.
