'Game of Thrones' season 6 spoilers: Jon Snow to return, according to photos

Jon Snow during the Game of Thrones season 5 finale HBO

One of the biggest deals about "Game of Thrones" season 6 is whether or not Lord Commander Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is coming back or if his apparent death during the season 5 finale had ended his story. According to a report from Watchers on the Wall, there is photo evidence that Harington is going to be in season 6 after all.

A photo of the actor was taken at the Belfast airport and was posted via Twitter. He reportedly arrived alongside fellow "GoT" actor Tom Wlaschiha, who portrays the assassin Jaqen H'ghar. The location is where majority of the scenes in the series are filmed, and according to the Independent, other cast members are already there for a script read-through of season 6.

The photograph shows Harington sporting long hair, which many fans consider as one of the best indications that he will still portray Jon Snow. It is in Harington's contract that while he is still a part of the cast, he will have to retain his long locks of hair.

Harington did cut his hair earlier this year while filming another project but it appears that in the months that have passed, he has grown his hair long enough to once again portray his character.

While Snow is said to be dead, there is a popular rumor that he will be resurrected by the red priestess Melissandre (Carice Van Houten) who was shown arriving at Castle Black just before the Night's Watch killed him. The timing of her arrival could be more than coincidental.

However, just because the actor is there doesn't necessarily mean that his character will be saved from the clutches of death. Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister, was seen arriving in Belfast for season 5 but the only scenes he shot were for his character's funeral.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 is set to premiere early 2016.
