Will Elsa finally get a romantic interest when Disney releases the sequel to the 2013 hit animated film "Frozen?"

It would seem so as the rumors are now rife that that the Queen of Arendelle will finally meet her match in another fictional character who is inclined towards the cold, Jack Frost.

Some fans have already started pairing the two characters as early as now since they are both popular characters associated with the cold and Winter. There are also enthusiastic fans who have made videos of a possible pairing as soon as the rumors came out.

Aside from the fan videos, there is also an ongoing online petition to make a Queen Elsa and Jack Frost romance to happen.

While Jack's inclusion in the franchise is not yet a done deal, there is a good possibility of it happening if Disney Pixar listens to the fans' clamor. Should this happen, it may also be an opportunity for a Disney-Dreamworks crossover as it can be recalled that Jack Frost first appeared in the latter's "Rise of the Guardians," reported Movie News Guide.

Elsa may not be the only one to get a love interest as fan favorite character Olaf is also reportedly getting a girlfriend in the sequel, iTechPost reported.

Fans were lobbying for this to happen after Anna and Kristoff were paired in the first movie, and the rumors of Elsa finding her match in Jack Frost started circulating online. Rumors reveal that it is likely that the snowman will find his own happily ever after too.

Still, fans will have to wait for a couple of years before the sequel comes out. It has been reported that due to Disney's busy line up of movies in the next years, the sequel will not come out before 2019. And this is completely okay with Disney's head honchos.

Given the movie's success, the team working on the sequel definitely earned the right to work at their own pace.

"We're not demanding speed. We're demanding excellence," said Disney's CEO Robert Iger early this year.
