Fans were ecstatic to find out that creator Scott Cawthon planned to continue with the "Five Night's at Freddy's" franchise. However, instead of continuing the stories in the original four installments, Cawthon and his team at Scott Games decided to come up with a role-playing "FNAF"-inspired title instead.

Although "Five Nights at Freddy's World" is not slated to come out until next year, more and more details are emerging about the upcoming RPG. Fresh from releasing a teaser trailer for the title, Scott Games may have also inadvertently let slip to hardcore fans some more details about the game.

According to Design and Trend, checking out the trailer in its entirety reveals that there will be at least 37 character sets that players may choose from to form their four-man team. In addition, some of the 37 characters are arranged in sets, such as the Endoskeletons and Paper Pals, and will attack in threes. However, each trio will be counted only as one character.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that additional characters and animatronics will be added as the game progresses and each secret one will be unlocked. In an earlier post, it was mentioned that Scott Cawthon hinted at some characters being developed as Easter eggs and will be hidden in the game.

In terms of gameplay, the trailer shows that there will be at least five move sets that are unique to each character, and some have already been seen by players. In the four installments of "Five Nights at Freddy's," some of the animatronics have already shown moves like Pizza Wheel and Springlocks.

"Five Nights at Freddy's World" is slated to release sometime next year.

Aside from a new game, there will also be a movie adaptation of "FNAF." However, instead of it being a continuation of the series, or a direct game-to-screen adaptation, the movie will have a new story and set of characters, aside from the "FNAF"-inspired ones. According to Realty Today, although the crew and movie are keeping the movie details tightly under wraps, supposed teasers keep on appearing online, particularly from posts of director Gil Kenan.
