'Five Nights at Freddy's' release date news, spoilers: Movie still unconfirmed; Scott Cawthon gives cryptic response to new fan theory

"Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location" Scott Games

After the overwhelming success of the recently released "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," fans have eagerly been clamoring for more of the series. With nothing confirmed just yet for the game sequels, fans are looking forward to the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie.

According to the Bit Bag, Scott Cawthon recently announced some updates for the movie, but the announcement in itself does not provide much information about the progress regarding the development of the film. After all, Cawthon said that he himself was still waiting for the movie's announcement and that he is waiting for the more appropriate people to provide updates about it.

Regardless, it is possible that the more appropriate people he is waiting for is the production crew of the movie, who are yet to give any concrete statement about the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's" film. However, movie director Gil Kenan and writer Tyler Burton Smith has been religiously updating fans about the movie's progress via their social media accounts, specifically on Twitter.

With the release of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" and "Five Nights at Freddy's World" this year, fans are certainly hyped about how the movie will go. Sadly, there are still no noteworthy developments reported by Kenan and Smith, and as such, fans are starting to doubt the movie's existence and thus are speculating that the movie has already been cancelled.

Regardless, Parent Herald reports that fans are currently engrossed in making theories about the current "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" game. Thankfully, Cawthon is very helpful and he has confirmed the theory stated by the Game Theorists on YouTube in a pretty cryptic way. The franchise creator just said that the the theorist found some things that no one else had found just yet.

In any case, fans are still hopeful that the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie will be released soon, since there is still no confirmed release date for the film yet.
