Carter (Kathryn Prescott) may find herself in an illicit relationship with an older man when MTV's teen drama series "Finding Carter" returns for the second half of season 2.

Entertainment Weekly has recently reported that a new character, who will be introduced in the upcoming installment, will immediately feel drawn to the troubled teenager. Jared, who will be played by Jackson Rathbone, is described as "a charming and business-savvy" man, but his traits will be the least of the Stevens family's problems.

The "Twilight" star's character will apparently be feeling a strong attraction for Carter, and as he is not in her league, it is a potentially sticky situation. With the teenager's frame of mind going into the upcoming season, she can very well find herself in a forbidden relationship with Jared.

As previously reported, season 2B will pick up after Carter learned that the person she had always thought to be her mother was actually her kidnapper. Lori (Milena Govich) was being tried in court for abducting Carter when she was still a kid. To make matters worse, a boy suddenly took the stand, claiming that he is Lori's son and Carter's father David (Alexis Denisof) is his dad.

Now, Carter knows her whole life had been a complete lie. She is bound to join her "new" family while coming to terms with her Dad's affair. This will prove to be a difficult ordeal for the teen, as she will begin coping up with all her problems the only way she knows how.

Carter will decide to drop out of school and get a job as a bartender. Her time in the club will bring her close to "a racy, underground party circuit," where she will find comfort in her "new" friends. It is not entirely clear when and where she will encounter Jared, but it should be safe to say it would be during one of her work days.

Season 2B will surely be a trying time for Carter, as well as her family. Will she be able to get back on track and return to her old, fun self? Viewers still need to wait until Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. EST to find out.
