'Final Fantasy 7' remake release date rumors: Director Tetsuya Nomura promises answers at upcoming event

 Square Enix

A lot of fans are frustrated with the "Final Fantasy 7" lacking in updates, but director Tetsuya Nomura assures fans that at an upcoming main event, all their questions will be answered and the release date will finally be revealed.

According to Yibada, a lot of fans expressed their disappointment when Square Enix did not give any updates about the game way back during the E3 2016. But then again, it should be worth noting that the game's producer, Yoshinori Kitase, initially said that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will use this year as its period of preparation.

As for Nomura, Movie News Guide reports that the director has confirmed that this 1997 PlayStation game remake will have a big announcement soon, despite Square Enix being mostly silent about the game's progress. He even went so far as to say that the "Final Fantasy" fans should just wait for a main event in order to get more information about the game.

Nomura said that they are not that fond of giving out tiny bits of information in various trailers taking place at irregular times. A lot of fans speculate that this purported main event will provide all the information players crave for with the "Final Fantasy 7" remake. Fans also expect that new game trailers will be shown.

More avid fans even believe that this event will also give the definite information related to the release date as well as a playable game demo. If what Nomura said about this main event is true, it is possible for the event to feature these and more.

The "Final Fantasy" remake will be released in episodes and pays homage to the game's original storyline. However, the release date of its first episode is yet to be revealed, so fans should just stay tuned for more updates.
