'Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462' spoilers: Sick patient turns into a walker; plane heads back to LA in season 2

Pandemonium will ensue in the next episode of "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462." AMC

Terror will prevail among the passengers as they discover that they are harboring a potential zombie on board in the upcoming episode of AMC's new web series "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462."

Last episode, viewers saw that the sick patient who barricaded himself in the bathroom was dying. An air marshal was trying to revive him, but even cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was proving to be ineffectual, as he could not find any more pulse. While the patient's wife was screaming herself hoarse, a young woman noticed that blood was seeping through his shirt. She then asked everyone to step away and proceeded to rip open his top. What she saw said it all for anyone who has been watching the AMC series.

On the man's chest was a bite mark, fresh and nasty-looking. He has been trying to cover it with a bandage. Clearly, the man has been bitten by a walker and is dying due to fever. Soon, his heart would stop, but he would come back as a zombie. An undead in a plane full of healthy people would be a feeding bonanza. To make matters worse, a black out in Phoenix was forcing the pilot to turn the plane around and head back to Los Angeles International Airport. The city, of course, is the home of the "Fear the Walking Dead" characters. Zombies are everywhere, which is obviously a disaster for the passengers.

Meanwhile, the return trip to LA may signal the twist that Joel Stillerman of AMC has mentioned at the premiere of "Flight 462." He said that one of the characters in the web series would be joining the regular cast of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they'll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow," he revealed.

"Flight 462" can also be viewed via the official AMC mobile app.
