'Fargo' season 2 spoilers: The Blumquists' survival instinct kicks in in episode 10

Peggy and Ed try to stay alive in the upcoming episode of "Fargo." Facebook/FX

After the bloodbath that transpired last episode, Ed (Jesse Plemons) and Peggy (Kirsten Dunst) have no other thoughts but to scamper in the upcoming episode of the FX series "Fargo."

In "Palindrome," TV.com reports that the butcher and the hairdresser will attempt to make a run for it, as both the Fargo and Sioux police are after their trail. When they agreed to work with the authorities to capture the criminal Mike (Bokeem Woodbine) and get inside knowledge about the Kansas mafia, they had no idea that they were about to witness a massacre. Hanzee (Zahn McClarnon), loyal to the Gerhardts, have officially turned rogue and started targeting his employers. He first killed Dodd (Jeffrey Donovan) while the latter was still a captive of Ed and Peggy. Viewers were expecting that he was there to save him, but to everyone's surprise, Hanzee shot Dodd in the head instead.

When the police stormed the Blumquists' hideout, they only found the couple and Dodd, who was obviously dead. Hanzee had already left the crime scene, but viewers saw he was just loitering around, waiting for his next target to appear. He then called Floyd (Jean Smart) and concocted a story about Dodd being alive but was a hostage of the mob. It was a perfect plan for the Native American, as shortly after, the Gerhardts came barreling down the Motor Motel, never expecting that they would find the police inside. When they realized they have been duped, pandemonium ensued. Hanzee started ticking off his targets, until he finally killed Floyd.

While all the rest were preoccupied trying to stay alive, Ed and Peggy managed to knock out the police guarding them. When they encountered a deranged Hanzee outside the motel, Peggy threw hot coffee in his face. Even the unidentified flying object hovering outside did not distract her from making a run for it. She grabbed her husband, who was dumbstruck by the "flying saucer," and hightailed it out of town. Now that they are on the run, the couple will do everything to stay alive. Lou (Patrick Wilson) is hot on their trail, while the Sioux police and the remaining Gerhardts are also after them. Will they ever survive this madness?

"Fargo" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
