The penultimate episode of the season and the series altogether is airing today, Aug. 23. The installment is titled "Reunion" and fans will see Ben playing hero and putting himself in grave danger in order to obtain important intel on the enemies' plans.

Ben has showcased his audacity on more than one occasion during the course of the series. He has imperiled himself countless times and to many fans' delight, he gets out of each one of his missions in one piece, although not unscathed.

However, it doesn't always end like that, eliciting fear and worry among viewers who would like to see Ben live to tell the tale. But there's apprehension that at some point, he might lose his luck and bite the dust, which might happen in this "Falling Skies" season 5 episode.

"[Ben] has the ability to get information and stuff that other characters can't - but obviously at personal cost to himself and personal danger," Connor Jessup, who plays the character, told Enstarz. "This is the kind of stuff where, in the past, Tom would have been like, 'You can't do that. It's not worth risking your life.' Now it's totally flipped; he's the one pushing for it."

Indeed, Ben has evolved into a brave warrior throughout "Falling Skies" season 5. It remains to be seen if he gets out alive in this new, definitely far more dangerous mission. As for Ben's dad Tom, he will get a hold of a powerful weapon that he can use against the Espheni.

"Falling Skies" season 5 episode 9, "Reunion," will air today. The finale titled "Reborn" will air next week, Aug. 30.

The synopsis reads: "The final standoff brings the Masons, the 2nd Mass and their new allies into the bowels of an iconic American location, wrought with new and unpredictable obstacles. Despite great loss along the way, they must persevere with hopes of once and for all reclaiming Earth and humanity."
