Lucious Lyon (Terence Howard) will put in motion his first bid to win back his "kingdom" in the upcoming episode of the hit FOX series "Empire."

In "Death Will Have His Day," the promo shows the former CEO telling an offscreen character that he is going to take back what is rightfully his and that person will be helping him. The rest of the clip reveals what promises to be an action-packed midseason premiere, with a car exploding and a glimpse of someone pointing a gun at a person's head.

Empire was snatched out of Lucious' grasp with a brilliant heist perpetrated by Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei). It was revealed last finale that her wife was none other than Camilla Marks (Naomie Campbell), Hakeem's (Bryshere Y. Gray) older ex-girlfriend. Ever since Lucious and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) sent her away for being a bad influence on their son, Camilla has hated the Lyons and desired to get revenge on them.

Also seen in the teaser is Hakeem, as Camilla succeeds in convincing him to take the place of his father. The board members look at the youngest Lyon, horrified, when he jumps on top of the meeting table and declares that being the CEO is his birthright. The scene cuts to Cookie shouting at Hakeem for throwing away their legacy and brother Jamal, (Jussie Smollett) who warns him to be careful in letting the power get to his head.

At the latter part of the clip, Camilla is giving her go signal to kill someone. Who is her target? Will Lucious be able to convince the unknown person to help him out with his quest? As for Hakeem, will he really take over Empire as the CEO?

"Empire" will return on Wednesday, March 30, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
