With the upcoming release of "Elder Scrolls Online" for consoles, fans are wondering if the fanfare will live up to the hype, or if the game will have the "lukewarm" feeling of its PC release.
When the "Elder Scrolls Online" was released for the PC in April last year, fans were only too eager to try out the title. However, a couple of factors marred the game's opening, and subsequent updates tried to bring back the shine of the open world exploration and questing title.
Coupled with glitches, boring and bland missions, and a poor gameplay and reward system, one of the major factors for the original title's lacklustre performance was due to its monthly subscription system. That has been remedied as gamers now only need to make a one-time purchase to enjoy the game.
Although the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions will come out in June this year, developer Bethesda made sure that the ported title will be on par with the current-gen console version. Starting with developing fixes and improvements on the PC title, the company made sure that it will not be the game it was when it was launched a year ago.
Numerous enhancements were made in-game, starting with the gameplay. The Veteran Level System is now much better, as is the combat systems. Initial fixes were already made in these categories, with the final fix coming out later this year.
With the many improvements and fixes for the PC version, it seems that Bethesda saw the error of their ways, as these fixes will come native, on day 1 of the launch, on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions.
