'Dragon Ball Z: Ressurection F' preview: New teaser centers on Vegeta

 Funimation Entertainment website

A new teaser for "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" has been published by Funimation Entertainment and this time, Vegeta is the star. Titled "Frieza Force Dossier – Enemy Vegeta," the clip shows the Saiyan fighter protesting against holding Goku's hand to be able to teleport on Earth.

According to Comic Book resources, the 50-second video, which was concluded with the slogan "Know Your Enemy," is also an effort to get the word out about the Frieza Force campaign launched early in July during the Comic-Con International.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" was released in Japan last April 18 and is coming to the U.S. on Aug. 3. In an official statement picked up by PR News Wire, Funimation COO Mike DuBoise says that it "has been incredible and advance ticket sales have already far exceeded last year's movie."

"We encourage fans to purchase tickets as early as possible to ensure they don't miss the opportunity to experience the movie in theaters; as well as join others in our interactive trivia contest as part of the special pre-show," he said.

The premiere of the film in the U.S. will happen at the AMC Empire 25 in New York. It will kick off with a red carpet with the cast of the film including Sean Schemmel and Christopher R. Sabat, who lent their voices to Goku and Vegeta, respectively.

"New York City is home to one of our biggest fan communities and was one of our top cities with last year's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods," Funimation CEO and founder Gen Fukunaga said via the same statement shared by PR News Wire.

By Aug. 4, 1,000 theaters across the U.S. and Canada will screen the highly-anticipated anime film. The showing will last until Aug. 12. Before the actual screening, the theaters will also present a special 15-minute pre-show created by Funimation.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" is the 20th film in the franchise. The synopsis reads:

An Earth where peace has arrived. However, remnants of Frieza's army Sorbet and Tagoma arrive on the planet. Their goal is to revive Frieza with the dragon balls. Their dastardly wish is granted, the 'F' that plans its revenge against the Saiyans is revived...!"
