'Dragon Ball XenoVerse' online features to stay

It has been reported that the online features of "Dragon Ball XenoVerse" will be shut down. Its publisher, Bandai Namco, denied the speculations.

Recently, players who tried to access the online features of the title were surprised when they encountered a message on the welcome screen. According to the message, the online features of "Dragon Ball XenoVerse" have already ended. This means that in order to level up or continue playing, users would have to rely only on the story mode and offline missions, while online matches and features like the Multi Lobby, Auto-Patrol, and Timespace Delivery were not available.

Players took to online threads and forums to voice out their frustrations. The response was not surprising, since one of the highlights of "Dragon Ball XenoVerse" is the online connectivity feature.

Bandai Namco quickly issued a statement via its official Twitter account, saying that the message was just an error, and that the online features of "Dragon Ball XenoVerse" is still available for players. The error has been fixed, and players can now log in without any problem.

"Dragon Ball XenoVerse" is a multiplayer title based on the massive "Dragon Ball" universe created by Akira Toriyama. It was released early this year for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, and for PC. Combining role-playing and exploration, players can create custom characters and level up either offline, through the story mode; or online, participating in online multiplayer matches. The game has been constantly updated with fresh content, game improvements, and glitch fixes. The title is already on its third DLC, which is an expansion pack containing new characters, NPCs, and different items tied to the new "Dragon Ball" film, "Resurrection 'F'."
