'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date: New characters unveiled; Deluxe Edition to be a PS4 exclusive

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" has released three more characters to be added to this role-playing game's already-impressive list.

According to the University Herald, the new characters will be Time Breaker Bardock, Imperfect Cell and Android 16. The first character, Timebreaker Bardock, is basically a more villainous version of Bardock who appeared in "Dragon Ball Heroes." It is also revealed that this character is under the control of Towa and Mira. Imperfect Cell, however, is just Cell's basic form, while Android 16 is the converted android made by Android 20, also known as Dr. Gero, way back in the "Android" and "Cell" saga of the "Dragon Ball Z" series.

Tthere are other characters to be released alongside these characters, such as Super Saiyan Gogeta, Towa, Jaco, Saibaman, Lord Slug, Janemba, Turles and Android 17. With this, a lot of fans are delighted to know that the newest "Dragon Ball" game, as developed by Bandai Namco, is having its online content enhanced according to the way its game producer Masayuki Hirano confirmed.

According to Cross Map, Bandai Namco confirms that the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game will be released in three editions: the Collector's Edition, Deluxe Edition and the standard copy. All of these editions will be launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC platforms.

The Collector's Edition will feature the copy of the game as well as a Time Patroller's Guide and a 34cm Son Goku Super Master Stars Piece, all encased in an exclusive box design adorned with Metal Shenron. The Deluxe Edition, however, has more features, giving players access to the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" season pass, which gives content packs that have exlusive playable characters, episodes and quests, Masters and Masters quests, stages, skills, costumes and accessories. However, this Deluxe Edition will only be released for the PlayStation 4.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released on October 2016.
