'Dragon Ball Super' episode episode 15 spoilers: Battle of the gods concludes

 Toei Animation

In the continuing saga of "Dragon Ball Super," Goku and the rest of the Z warriors as well as all of the people in the world managed to survive as god of destruction Beerus spared Earth.

The conclusion of the fight between Goku as Super Saiyan god and god of destruction Beerus culminated in last week's episode of "Dragon Ball Super." In the course of the battle, Goku had his energy depleted and transformed back into his usual Saiyan form. However, thinking of all the people who depended on the outcome of the battle, Goku struggled to maintain his composure and tried to fight again, even if he was already running on his reserves. To finish the fight, Beerus unleashed a neutron attack, which Goku countered with a Kamehame wave.

However, the supposed explosion when the two attacks met underwent an energy combination, which turned both attacks into a single fiery ball hurtling toward Earth. To counter it, Goku used up all his energy, punching the energy ball into nothingness. In the process, Goku himself used up all his reserves and was unconscious, freefalling to Earth.

As per their agreement, Beerus was supposed to destroy Earth since he won. However, as he tried to initiate another attack, the god of destruction fell asleep. His assistant Whiz, congratulating the Z warriors on their good luck, hinted that they might return, but Beerus will have forgotten his promise to destroy the world at that point.

While on the way to returning to their world, Beerus woke up – it seemed that he was only feigning sleep so it would not be out that he went back on his word and saved Earth instead.

Meanwhile, at the end of the credits, fans saw some scenes from the next week's episode, and it came with a surprise – Mr. Satan himself turning into a Super Saiyan.

Episode 15 of "Dragon Ball Super" will air on Sunday, Oct. 18.
