'Dragon Ball Super' episode 32 spoilers: Tournament starts as Goku and his friends arrive on Nameless Planet

Dragon Ball Super Toei Animation

This week's episode of "Dragon Ball Super" will see the continuation of the tournament between the two Gods of Destruction, as each team heads out to the Nameless Planet for the start of the event.

The upcoming episode is titled "The tournament starts! Everyone goes to the 'Nameless Planet!'" This signals the start of the event.

However, it is unclear if the episode will already cover the first match between the two teams from Universe 6 and Universe 7. When Lord Beerus and Lord Champa were discussing the terms of the upcoming tournament in a previous episode, it was revealed that aside from fighting a one-on-one battle in the ring, the two teams must also pass a written exam.

In the trailer preview for episode 32 this week, Goku and Vegeta are seen completing a three-year training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, so the earlier part of the episode may have fans see each team's preparations for the tournament. Meanwhile, according to Yibada, episode 32 will also briefly introduce the opposing team's members, as the trailer also highlighted Botamo, Frost, Cabba, and Hit from Champa's team.

It is unknown if the anime adaptation will introduce fillers at this point, since the events already follow that of the manga series.

[Spoiler Alert]

In the manga, the first fight in the tournament is already done, a battle between Goku and Botamo. It is revealed that Botamo's endurance far surpasses Goku, and should it come to a battle of attrition, Goku will probably lose. However, Goku thought ahead and instead of soundly defeating his enemy, he just pushed Botamo off the stage, thereby securing a win. The manga is already showing the second fight, between Goku and Frost – a changeling like Freeza. The fight is well on its way to heating up, as Frost transforms into his final form, and Goku going Super Saiyan.
