'Dragon Age: Inquisition' patch 6 brings fixes to bugs and glitches

Game of the Year-awardee "Dragon Age: Inquisition" just received its latest patch for PC and consoles. Patch 6 was released Monday, March 23, and came out just in time for the release of the new DLC, "Jaws of Hakkon."

The new patch doesn't offer big changes but the small tweaks and alterations make the game much smoother to play, particularly for PC players who experienced several bugs and glitches since the game's launch.

In particular, the patch fixes the bug that prevent resurrecting characters that died in deep waters, a bug that turns off mouse toggle while looting, and errors with the journal when the mouse is used to expand categories. The new patch also adds the option for binding hotkeys to a mouse with more than two buttons.

PC players aren't the only people to benefit from the patch. Console players and PC players alike will benefit from its improvement on game stability, quest glitches, and errors with the GUI. The "Katari" multiplayer kit also now comes with higher HP and it generates guard upon hit.

Prior to the patch, the cave that was opened by the Abyssal High Dragon may sometimes close due to a recurring glitch in the game. Patch 6 now fixes this error.

Some quests have also been refined. "The Fall" now features better positions for the mosaic pieces, allowing them to be collected without issue. The "What Lies Dormant" quest no longer triggers after the time is completed. Now it triggers when the after-action report for the quest "Measure Veil Strength" has been read.

Bioware has posted all of the Patch 6 notes and players can automatically download the patch upon launching the game. Those who also purchase "Jaws of Hakkon" will get the patch included as they install the expansion.

Unfortunately, the expansion is only set for Xbox One and PC with no definitive release date for PS4 players. The latter may still receive the patch 6 updates.
