Diablo 3 Anniversary patch brings back the original Diablo game us.battle.net/d3

At the recently concluded BlizzCon 2016, fans can all agree that despite the announcements for "World of Warcraft" and "Hearthstone," "Diablo III" has secured the spotlight at the well-known event. After all, in celebration of the "Diablo" games' 20th anniversary, Blizzard has announced that they will release both paid and free downloadable content (DLC) as a tribute to series and to the loyal fans of the franchise.

According to Game Rant, the first major reveal for the franchise was that the original "Diablo" game will be remade and released as a free DLC. Secondly, the game company revealed that they will release the "Diablo II" Necromancer class as a paid DLC.

Fans are curious to find out how the company would implement the remake of the original "Diablo" game for "Diablo III," but as the biggest announcement up to date for the current title, it is certainly a good way to celebrate the franchise's anniversary.

Blizzard revealed that the DLC will be called "The Darkening of Tristram," which will last for a month. It will allow players to go through a portal in order to experience Adria's memories. What this means is that a visual filter will allow "Diablo III" to look like the original game, and it will be released in January as well as the succeeding years to celebrate "Diablo's" 20th anniversary.

Meanwhile, Yibada reports that "Rise of the Necromancer" DLC will feature the Priests of Rathma, who are a known order of necromancers. Faithful to the original Necromancers in "Diablo II," raising the dead as skeleton warriors is one of the class' hallmark abilities. However, with the class' affinity to both flesh and bone, they can also unleash Bone Spears, use Siphon Blood, and even make corpses explode.

It is expected that Blizzard will also make two versions of the Necromancer: a male and a female version. However, the DLC is still in early stages of development, and as such only the male version was revealed at this year's BlizzCon.
