'Destiny: The Taken King' DLC updates: New weaponry among new content

Already on its way to its third expansion, Bungie's sci-fi futuristic space-age shooter "Destiny" continues to provide players with new content. The upcoming expansion, titled "The Taken King," was first revealed by the company during its Electronic Entertainment Expo presentation this year. Now, the developer has again added to the hype of the upcoming third expansion by revealing their plans of upgrading every Guardian's arsenal with a host of new weaponry.

On the weekly update on its official forums, Bungie's community manager David Dague has told fans that when "The Taken King" is officially released, it will feature the largest armory in the "Destiny" world, and the new weapons to be added are both a mix of old, traditional-style of weapon smelting and space-age weaponry development from the three known foundries in the central City.

Showcasing the upcoming weapons, the post focuses on the armory from in-game manufacturers Hakke, Omolon, and Suros, and is a mix of both close-quarters and mid- to long-range guns. Of note is the Suros arsenal, which is reported to be included as the "Suros Arsenal Pack" for those who will pre-orders of "The Taken King." In addition to a complete line-up of Suros rifles, the pre-order content will also include a Suros Fire emblem and a minimalist shader.

The post also confirmed that aside from the listed weapons, there will be plenty of additions to the arsenal when the third expansion is released.

"There will be more choices than ever to arm yourself in the Tower. Factions will have their own guns. Classes will have their own guns. More Quests will lead you directly to specific guns," Dague wrote. "Even the Gunsmith will have a new way to include you in his enterprise. We'll inspect all of that as well before you earn the means to equip yourselves to meet a rising threat."
