In a few weeks, "Destiny" will receive its largest expansion to date. However, fans are certainly curious as to what the new DLC, "Rise of Iron," can offer once it gets released.

According to Game Informer, Chris Barrett and Scott Taylor from Bungie have given some teasers on what to expect when "Destiny: Rise of Iron" gets released. They talked about the enormity of the second full-scale expansion, and apparently they intended for this DLC package to be larger than "House of Wolves," which was released last year. However, the finished product exceeded their expectations, turning out to be even larger than what they originally intended.

The world to be explored will expand and grow larger once "Rise of Iron" is released. As seen in the aforementioned article, a video showing the sprawling Plaguelands of Old Russia, which will eventually be explored by players, just proves the large scope of this game's newest expansion.

According to Game Rant, the first mission set in Plaguelands will require players to climb a mountain in order to purge some Fallen in order to reclaim a social space. After accomplishing this, the area will eventually become populated by some NPC wolves, as well as some vendors and some well-concealed secrets tha will surely appeal to the players who had a blast with "The Taken King" DLC's Dreadnaught location.

Forbes, however, highlights that the new DLC renews its focus on artifacts, basically items that had been practically sort of worthless in "Destiny" since they had minimal effects in terms of improving gameplay. In the newest DLC, the artifacts will play a bigger role in the game, with their unique properties that have different effects that change the game experience significantly.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" will be released on Sept. 20 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
