Speculations about the future of the Denver Broncos' Peyton Manning began to swirl when he told New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick that this might be his "last rodeo," but the veteran passer is not thinking about it and is focused on Super Bowl 50.
Manning has the chance to win only his second National Football League (NFL) championship when the Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers this Sunday at the Levi's Stadium.
The 39-year-old quarterback, who is in his 18th season in the league and fourth with the Broncos, already achieved tremendous feats in his illustrious career and many believe this season is his swan song, except him.
Manning does not want to recall what he told Belichick and stated during the Super Bowl 50 media night, according to ESPN, "I've tried to stay in the moment, tried not to look back." He added, "Just tried to stay in the moment."
Along with this, Manning also spoke about the rest he had in the regular season when he missed six games because of a foot injury.
According to the five-time NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP), the rest also helped his arm and said it feels okay.
Manning finished the regular season playing 10 games, completing 198 passes for 2,249 yards and nine touchdowns, also throwing 17 interceptions.
The Broncos and Manning are entering Super Bowl 50 as underdogs but are no strangers to the position.
In the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Game, Denver was also viewed as the underdog, but the 2014 champions Patriots ended up getting dethroned.
Despite not being the favorites, the Broncos, specifically Manning, already have one person cheering for them to win at Super Bowl 50.
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Peyton's younger brother, said he wants his brother to be on top if ever Super Bowl 50 will be his last game.
