Decision America Tour': Franklin Graham to hold prayer rallies all over US in 2016

Reverend Franklin Graham has been echoing the thoughts of countless Christians in America who are worried about the country's moral, spiritual, and political state.

"I have heard from people all over America who believe that our nation is in trouble — morally, spiritually, and politically. But as attention turns to an election year, I do not believe that Republicans or Democrats (or any other party) can turn this nation around – only God can," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Because of this, Graham will be holding several prayer rallies in the capitals of all 50 states starting next January. Graham and his group have decided to call the mission the Decision America Tour.

"God hears the prayers of his people, so I'm calling on people of faith in every state to pray fervently for America and our leaders. I want to challenge Christians across our land to boldly live out and promote biblical principles at home, in public and at the ballot box. The only hope for this country is if the people of God are willing to take a stand for truth and righteousness," he said.

The tour will kick off on Jan. 5 at the capitol building of Des Moines, Iowa, followed by the prayer rally at the capitol building in Tallahassee, Florida, on Jan. 12. They will be moving the prayer rally to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Jan. 13 followed by the prayer rally at the capitol building in Concord, New Hampshire.

"Decision America Tour will not endorse political candidates or legislation, and no candidates or current public officials will speak at any of the rallies," explained Graham. "Instead, I will be sharing the life-changing truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every state."

The Decision America Tour will be a part of the ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). Graham said the prayer rallies will be an important gathering for Christians to stand before God and His teachings especially since "America is at a crossroads."

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
