Another National Football League (NFL) player has expressed interest to be part of the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS).
Rashad Jennings recently told TMZ that he plans on competing in the series soon. When asked if he's thinking of joining season 22, the New York Giants running back said that he is not so sure as he is still focusing on the league.
"I would love to do it. I kind of plan on doing it when the time is right," he said. "I'm kind of focused on football right now."
NFL players who have joined the series have done very well for themselves. Those who have won in the past include Donald Driver, Emmitt Smith, and Hines Ward. Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp, and Jason Taylor also did great, even if they fell short of winning the trophy.
Another potential cast for DWTS season 22 is The Game. Enstarz reports that the rapper has suggested that he may do the show if the offer is sufficient.
There have been very few casting rumors for the upcoming season set to air in March, considering season 21 just ended. Overall, it has been a successful series, with Bindi Irwin taking home the Mirrorball trophy.
Meanwhile, if the dancers' slots have yet to be filled in, the judges' seats are all set. According to HNGN, Len Goodman has announced that he would be returning to the show after a one-season hiatus. After 10 years of serving as judge for the DWTS, Len left the show to work as a judge on the U.K. version of the series, "Strictly Come Dancing."
In season 21, he also decided to step down as judge to spend more time with his family and his new grandson. This time, though, he is ready to dish out critique to those who will dare groove on the dance floor in the new installment. He even warned the pros that he is not going to put up with any nonsense. Len is expected to be joined by Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.
"Dancing With the Stars" season 22 will premiere on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
