'Dance Moms' season 6 cast: Abby Lee Miller returning but Maddie Ziegler might not

Dance Moms season 5 Lifetime

Lifetime is already looking for more youngsters and moms to add to the cast of "Dance Moms." But while season 6 is likely happening, it is unclear whether or not every single star in the ensemble will be back for another round of drama, tension, rivalries, and conflict.

There are speculations that Maddie Ziegler, who skyrocketed to fame after appearing in Sia's music videos, will no longer return to the show. In the midst of Abby Lee Miller's statements on how the show can continue without her guiding Ziegler and the rest of the group, the youngster, who is often deemed as Miller's favorite, admitted she was irresolute.

"I'm not sure what's going to happen for season 6. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not, so it just depends," she told MTV Australia back in June.

She did not go into detail about what factors will rope her back in for season 6 and what will make her leave. According to Yibada, she is becoming a bigger star by the minute, therefore she might be too busy with other commitments to take on another "Dance Moms" run.

During her chat with MTV, Ziegler revealed that she "definitely" wants to pursue acting. The 12-year-old already appeared in one episode of the current season of "Pretty Little Liars." She stated she has been auditioning "a lot," too.

Meanwhile, at around the time of Ziegler's interview, media outlets were swelled by reports about Miller leaving the show for good. This was after she revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Lifetime is in arrears on her payment and that so many intolerable drama backstage take place. She also called out the crew behind "Dance Moms" to focus on the dancing and not the warring mommies.

It looks like all that is settled since the dance instructor herself posted an advertisement on Instagram recruiting new talented dancers to join "Dance Moms" season 6.
