Avery (Patricia Arquette), D.B. (Ted Danson), and the rest of the squad will have a tough time containing an airborne computer virus in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "CSI: Cyber."

In "Going Viral," TV Guide reports that New York City will experience a cyber meltdown unlike no other. A virus that has the capacity to jam cellphones will cause havoc in the system, especially when it targets the emergency number 911. This means people in need of assistance will not be able to reach the authorities, as their calls get jammed the moment they dial the number. If the Cyber team will not be able to take down the virus, the city is facing a crisis on a large scale.

Meanwhile, D.B. will meet a woman who could be his next love interest. She reportedly sends him a text by mistake and when he does reply, they agreed to meet up. Does this mean D.B. will not need an online dating site to find the right woman for him? In the past, the youngsters at the Cyber division made a profile of the silver-haired specialist, hoping he would meet his match online. D.B. has been divorced from his wife of many years. Danson is reportedly leaving the series at the end of season 2. Will this storyline be the start of his exodus?

It has been reported that the award-winning actor is departing the CBS series to costar in a new NBC sitcom with Kristen Bell. The announcement made the fans worry that "CSI: Cyber" is nearing its end. Currently, it is the only remaining show of the franchise that is still on air. "CSI" ended its run after fifteen seasons last year. "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: New York" have also signed off with ten and nine seasons, respectively.

Series creator Anthony Zuiker was quick to assure fans, however, that the show would not be ending soon.

"We have the biggest stars in television... It's an amazing franchise and a very solid show. Because the future of crime is cyber, there's no reason why it shouldn't continue," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"CSI: Cyber" season 2 episode 12 will air on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
