Courageous: coming to a church near you

It touched hearts across America. Now hit faith-based movie Courageous is making its way to the UK.

The inspiring film is the latest production from Sherwood Pictures, the studio behind Fireproof.

Courageous tells the story of four law enforcement officers who are courageous in the face of crime, but less than confident when it comes to fatherhood.

The story weaves together tragedy, hope, fear and faith as the men discover that raising their children in a God-honouring way is truly courageous.

The film was released in cinemas across the States earlier this year to huge success, staying in the top 10 for four weeks and taking in $32 million at the US box office.

In the UK, Courageous will come out on DVD on February 27 and to help churches make the most of it, Authentic Media has put together special movie event kits that include the DVD and a licence allowing them to host an unlimited number of screenings for a year.

The movie kits start at £79.99 and are available to churches and ministries from January 9.

Michael Catt, executive producer of the film and Sherwood Baptist Church senior pastor said: “Courageous is that rare movie combining an entertaining, engaging story with a vital, inspiring message.

“You’ll be on the edge of your seat watching ‘Courageous’, then rise up when it’s over, resolving to make a difference in your life and the lives of those you care about.”
